WHAT IS LASER HAIR REMOVAL?
LASER HAIR REMOVAL is a medical procedure that uses laser light. An intense, pulsating beam of light to remove unwanted hair. LASER HAIR REMOVAL works by passing a light beam through the skin. The laser targets dark pigment, called melanin, in hair. When the light beam hits the hair follicle (where hair growth originates), the intense heat destroys the hair follicle instantly.
IS IT SAFE?
YES, the procedure is completely safe and FDA approved.
IS IT PAINFUL?
Patients have described the sensation as discomfort rather than pain. The process feels like a rubber band being snapped against your skin with an awareness of heat.
IS IT AFFORDABLE?
Compared to a lifetime of waxing, shaving or plucking LASER HAIR REMOVAL is extremely affordable.
WHO CAN BE TREATED?
Men, Women and Teens with all skin types can be treated. Women who are pregnant or nursing may not receive treatments.
LASER HAIR REMOVAL is most effective on dark hair. For white or gray hairs SUNSET HILL LASER & ELECTROLYSIS offers ELECTROLYSIS.
WHAT AREAS CAN BE TREATED?
LASER HAIR REMOVAL can be performed on almost any part of the body. From small areas such as your upper lip, underarms or bikini area, to larger areas such as your arms, chest, back and legs.
The only areas that cannot be treated are inside the ears and nose, below the eyebrow and on raised tissue (moles, etc.).
Regarding tattoos, using LASER HAIR REMOVAL will considerably fade or disfigure the tattoo, that is why SUNSET HILL LASER & ELECTROLYSIS offers you ELECTROLYSIS which will not have an adverse effect on your tattoo.
HOW LONG WILL THE PROCEDURE TAKE?
This varies depending on the body area(s) to be treated. This can be discussed during your FREE CONSULTATION with SUNSET HILL LASER & ELECTROLYSIS
HOW SOON WILL THE HAIR FALL OUT?
Surface hair will come off immediately, the "root" in 2-3 weeks.
HOW LONG BEFORE I NOTICE RESULTS?
At least (2) sessions are required before you will be able to see a difference in the amount of hair.
HOW MANY TREATMENTS DO I NEED?
Laser treatment impairs the growth of hair follicles when they are in the growth (anagen) cycle. At any one time there will only be a certain number of hairs in that growing phase. Therefore, consistent treatments at appropriate intervals are necessary for the best possible results.
The number of treatments required depends upon your skin, hair coloring, coarseness of the hair and density per treated area which can be determined by a thorough examination during your FREE CONSULTATION with SUNSET HILL LASER & ELECTROLYSIS INC.
